Angiomas
An angioma sometimes called a “cherry angioma” is a benign growth that may appear anywhere on the body as bright red or purple dots. They are small proliferations of blood vessels that tend to appear later in life typically starting in one’s 30’s. They can occur for a variety of reasons such as genetic mutations, pregnancy, or simply aging. They are not dangerous and do not require treatment, unless they bleed or cause pain. They can be removed surgically or with a laser treatment with Dr. Queller. Angiomas can be removed for cosmetic purposes, if you dislike their appearance.
