Age-related facial volume loss, wrinkles, and lines can detract from your appearance and diminish your self-confidence in later years. Dermal fillers can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin, to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and/or to enhance or define your lips. Dr. Queller will prepare a customized treatment plan to address your specific needs.

We offer a wide range of filler products including Restylane-L®, Restylane® Lyft, Restylane® Silk, Restylane® Refyne, and Restylane® Defyne, Juvéderm Voluma® XC, Juvéderm Vollure™ XC, Juvéderm® XC, Juvéderm® Ultra XC, Juvéderm Volbella® XC, Versa®, Belotero Balance®.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the body, found in abundance in connective tissues in the skin, joints and eyes. HA’s main function is to absorb up to 10,000 times its weight in water molecules in order to retain moisture, volume and softness. This water molecule arrangement gives the skin a plump appearance. As we age, UV sunlight and environmental stressors degrade native HA and its surrounding water cushion shrinks. As a result, the skin deflates and loses its ‘plump’ quality. By injecting HA gel into the skin, we can replace what has been lost, restoring a more youthful appearance.

Where are HA fillers beneficial?

HA fillers are used to temporarily enhance soft tissues, restoring lost volume, hydrating the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, and restoring facial volume and structure. Lines and wrinkles smooth and the cheeks plump for a more youthful, refreshed appearance.

Juvederm and Voluma

Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler featuring proprietary HYLACROSS™ technology. This makes Juvéderm gel extraordinarily smooth and consistent, for soft, even correction. Because Juvéderm is manufactured as a very smooth product, it is most often placed in the lips or to fill lines in the lower half of the face such as the nasolabial folds (sometimes called “parentheses”), marionette lines, vertical lip lines and corners of the mouth. It typically lasts 6-9 months. Like native HA, internal processes gradually break it down and eliminate it from the body. Juvéderm is extremely safe, and its side effects, if any, are typically limited to the injection site. Patients sometimes report temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, and minor bruising. Symptoms generally dwindle within a few days.

Juvéderm Voluma is a stiffer, more rigid version of Juvéderm. It is meant to replace zones of volume loss. The majority of the time, Voluma is used to volumize the upper cheeks. This helps restore youthful plumpness of the cheeks and lifts sagging lower cheeks and jowls. Voluma typically lasts 12-24 months before it is broken down and naturally eliminated.
